报告人:Professor R. P. H. Chang
Director of Materials Research Institute, Northwestern University, USA
Professor Chang is a Professor of Materials Science and Engineering, and the Director of the Materials Research Institute at Northwestern University. He was a graduate of MIT in physics and PhD in Astrophysics from Princeton. Chang worked at Bell Laboratories for 15 years before joining Northwestern University in 1986. In 1988, he won MRS Woody Award for outstanding service to the society. He was a former president of the MRS and the founding president of the International Union of Materials Research Societies. Since 1994, he is a general secretary of International Union of Materials Research Societies. His research interest focuses on carbon nanotubes, photonic crystals, random lasing phenomenon, quantum dots and wires.
