Research area

As a kind of clean and renewable energy, solar energy has its unique advantages. Experts predict that  half of the electrical power will be produced by solar energy in the future. The key of large-scale application of solar energy  is developing new photovotaic cells with low cost, high efficiency and long life.

Our group is mainly focused on how to utilize the inexhaustible solar energy with materials and devices. Our attention are attracted on the research of sensitized solar cells. In addtion, we also study water splitting by photocatalyst. Also, we work on the photonic crystal which has an interesting phenomenon of light spreading.  In one word, our research is full of sunshine.
