Welcome to the First Conference on Perovskite Solar Cells & New Generation Solar Cells

Recently, new-generation solar cells especially perovskite solar cells have received wide attention. The power conversion efficiency of perovskite solar cells has boosted to over 18% in a very short time. In 2013, the editors of Science listed the perovskite solar cells as one of the breakthroughs of the year. It is estimated that the efficiency of this type of solar cells can ultimately reach 25%, which shows a promising commercialization in the future. The research of new-generation solar cells has now become one of the heights in the renewable energy technologies in the world. With the objective of providing a scientific platform for both local and international experts working in this research field, the Photochemistry Committee of Chinese Renewable Energy Society has entrusted the Key Laboratory for Renewable Energy (CAS), Beijing Key Laboratory for New Energy Materials and Devices, Center for Clean Energy, Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Key Laboratory for Photochemistry (CAS), Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) to hold the first Conference on New Generation Solar Cells & Perovskite Solar Cells. The Conference will be held in Beijing from 24 to 25 May, 2014. The conference offers researchers from academia and industry a forum to meet, share results and discuss hot topics in the new generation solar cells. An overall view of the recent progresses on new-generation solar cells, such as perovskite solar cells, dye-sensitized solar cells, quantum-dot solar cells and organic-inorganic hybrid solar cells will be provided in the conference. Especially the opportunities, challenges and trends in the development of new-generation solar cells & perovskite solar cells, will be fully discussed. It is a good opportunity for the attendees to communicate and seek the potential cooperation, especially promoting the connection between the industry and academics and pushing forward the science and technology of new-generation solar cells in China. The Organizing Committee of the Conference sincerely invites the researchers and industry participants in this field to attend the conference. Meanwhile, we also warmly welcome oversea Chinese researchers to attend the conference!

Submission abstracts
Authors are requested to submit an extended abstract (maximum 2 pages, A4 size) with double-spaced or 1.5-spaced with a font size of 12 pt (Times New Roman preferred). Please send the abstract as the attached file via email (pscmeeting2014@163.com). The submission deadline is May 17, 2014.
