In order to promote the development of emerging solar cells, “Conference on New Generation Solar Cells” have been successfully held in Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences for six years (2014-2019). This conference series is on behalf of the Photochemistry Committee of Chinese Renewable Energy Society, which aims to provide a higher platform for top scientists from different countries to learn from each other, exchange the state-of-the-art research knowledge and boost the collaborations in the research field of new generation solar cells. The distinguishing feature of this conference series is that all of participants are only required abstracts and no registration fee is needed. Encouragingly, the culture of this conference series has gained widespread support. At the same time, the conference proceedings have been included in "China Proceedings of Conference Full-text Database" from China Knowledge Network and "China Conference Paper Database”.

On behalf of the Photochemistry Committee of Chinese Renewable Energy Society, the 7th Conference on Science and Technology of Emerging Solar Energy Materials will be continuously held through online live broadcast on May 28-29th, 2020. This 2020 conference is co-organized by the Center for Clean Energy (Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS)), Key Laboratory of Clean Energy Frontier Research (CAS), the Key Laboratory for Photochemistry (CAS), Beijing National Laboratory for Condensed Matter Physics, Institute of Physics (CAS).

This conference is an annual symposium for researchers who work in the field of emerging solar cells. It aims to bring together a number of top scientists from China and other countries to discuss the latest advances in different kinds of new generation solar cells including new materials and devices, especially on the opportunities, challenges and future development of emerging solar cells. In the meantime, the conference will pay attention on promoting the communication between academia and industry as well as facilitating the development of science and technology of new generation of solar cells.

The organizing committee of the conference sincerely invites researchers from the world to attend the conference. The official language of the conference is bilingual (Chinese, English). We will continue to adhere to our conference culture, and hope to provide a platform for global researchers working on solar cells to learn, communicate and cooperate with each other!
